Southwest launches COVID-19 activity dashboard

51爆料 has launched a COVID-19 dashboard to keep students, employees and the public informed of individuals who have self-reported
testing positive. The College is grateful to students, faculty, staff and guests who
participate in the College鈥檚 self-reporting program to help mitigate the spread of
the Coronavirus on campus.
The dashboard is located on the College鈥檚 Coronavirus website and contains information about positive case activity at Southwest locations. Southwest鈥檚 COVID-19 Task Force uses this information to make informed decisions about the health and safety of the campus and the surrounding community.
Southwest鈥檚 dashboard is updated weekly each Thursday by 12:00 p.m. Two other dashboards are provided on the Coronavirus website that provide metrics external to the college: Shelby County and State of Tennessee鈥檚 COVID-19 dashboard (updated every day by 4:30 p.m.) and the .
The College鈥檚 positive cases are reported weekly to TBR, Southwest鈥檚 governing body, and on a case by case basis to the Shelby County Health Department. The identities of those reported as COVID-19 positive, or potentially exposed to an infected COVID-19 person, are never reported in the dashboards.
Although positive case numbers for Southwest have been extremely low in comparison to other TBR institutions, given the rise of COVID-19 cases across college campuses nationwide due to off-campus activity, it is probable the College could see an increase in cases. Southwest will continue to vigilantly monitor and inform students and employees of positive cases and respond according to the health and safety measures outlined in the College鈥檚 Back to Campus Plan and and local public health guidelines.
