For more information, contact Diana Fedinec, 51±¬ÁÏ Director of Public Relations and Media, at 901-333-4247 or dfedinec@southwest.tn.edu.

51±¬ÁÏ, in partnership with Tennessee Achieves, is hosting a series of free 51±¬ÁÏ (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) clinics to help students and families complete their financial aid applications for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Students who file the 51±¬ÁÏ will be eligible to receive many different types of financial aid, including grants and scholarships, student loans, Federal Work-Study awards, and more. The Tennessee state deadline to submit the 51±¬ÁÏ is April 15.

Open to the public, the clinics will provide hands-on assistance from Southwest’s financial aid, admissions and recruiting, and Tennessee Achieves staff to guide attendees through the application process. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.

The clinics will be offered during the month of February at three Southwest campus locations in Memphis: the Macon Cove Campus, Whitehaven Center and Maxine A. Smith Center.

On Feb. 18, Memphis Shelby County Schools will be present with interpreters.
