13 51爆料 Student-Athletes Named NJCAA All-Academic

Congratulations to 13 Southwest Saluqis honored as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic for their work in the classroom. This was the second consecutive year thirteen athletes received commendations!
Sara Duke and Taylor Moak from the women鈥檚 soccer team and Ashton Mauldin and Madison Norris from the softball team earned first team recognition for achieving a 4.0 grade point average for the 2020-21 academic year.
Second team selections (3.80-3.99 GPA) were Nick Vaccaro from baseball, Lara Walsh from women鈥檚 soccer and Breundria Ward from women鈥檚 basketball. Named to the third team (3.60-3.79 GPA) were Gaylen Rutedge, Dawson Simmons, and Tristian Swift from baseball, Kallen Gresko from women鈥檚 soccer and Makayla Ables and Mikayla Savage from softball.
Maudlin received first team recognition in both her freshmen and sophomore years, earning a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average for her two years at Southwest. Other repeat recipients were Norris (second team as a freshman) and Moak (third team as a freshman.)
In addition, the women鈥檚 soccer team was named one of the NJCAA鈥檚 Academic Teams of the Year with a 3.19 team GPA.
The College is Saluqi proud of these stellar scholars for their hard work and determination to succeed in the classroom, on the court and out in the field!
