Application Procedures and Category

The information listed below applies to all Veterans who will be attending Southwest.

Application Procedures

1. Complete all requirements as outlined by Admissions and Records, this includes completing an online admissions application for admission, fee(s) payment, transcript(s), and testing.
2. Apply for Financial Aid Using the 51爆料 at:  
3. Contact the Veterans Coordinator located in the Veterans Affairs office at the Macon Cove or Union Avenue Campuses.
4. Submit all required documents as indicated in the Category information to the VA Coordinator.

Category

It is very important that all students complete the each semester that VA educational benefits are requested. Students requesting a VA tuition deferment should complete a "Hold Agreement" each semester.

Students may verify their monthly enrollment with VA by visiting the (WAVE) or by calling 1-877-823-2378.

New VA Educational Recipients

Individuals who have never used VA educational benefits.

Chapters 30 (), CH 33 (), 1606 (), and 1607 ()-Active Duty, Prior Active Duty, Reservist/Guardsmen

• Completed
• DD Form 214 (Prior Active Duty) or DD Form 2384 (Reservist/Guardsmen)

Chapter 35-Dependents

• Completed
• VA Form 22-5490

Individuals who have used VA educational benefits at Southwest during previous semesters.
